The Heart of the Caregiver Fund

It’s been more than 15 years since the first The Heart of the Caregiver® small group gathered in the prayer room at my church. From the beginning, it was obvious there were a lot of us out there feeling alone, overwhelmed and even abandoned by God. But it was also obvious that God wanted to meet with us through His Word and Spirit and remind us that we’ve never been alone.  He’s right here to offer relief, guidance and transformation. All we need is to remember who we are, what we have access to and receive.

We’ve seen a lot of growth over these years:

When we took the small groups online, we could reach out even to those who couldn’t leave the bedside of a loved one. We reached caregivers all over the world – Sweden, Canada, England – even women in a village in Africa!

We began offering leader support to folks who wanted to start groups in their churches.

We received invitations to speak at church conferences to educate leadership about the need and how to minister to hurting families.

Due to demand for even more transformative curriculum, “The Peaceful Caregiver” was published.

Teaching videos were filmed and made available through our publisher and RightNow Media – an online library of Bible study teaching videos.

We began offering live and online Peace Retreats for caregivers.

And now, we are happy to announce The Heart of the Caregiver Fund to support our outreach, education and scholarship efforts.

This new not-for-profit will explore partnerships and collaborations and perhaps even extend training for professional caregivers.

It all started with a small group of participants who wanted to “pay it forward” and help us reach more people with transformative, gospel messaging. This act of love has powered God’s call to expand…and we are so grateful!
